About Me

Sean Walsh

Updated: Jan 20

I am a poet and filmmaker from Dublin. I have a with BA hons degree in Contemporary Drama and began creating work around ten years ago when I began my studies. I created a theatre group in college called The Great Unwashed and produced four of my own plays that were performed in the Sean O'Casey theatre, East Wall. All of which centred around social issues. From this experience I had created some solo performance pieces for myself that incorporated storytelling and poetry. These were performed at art exhibitions that were curated with my theatre company and students of NCAD.

My most recent work has been focusing on spoken word. Last year I was a finalist in two spoken word grand slams including the All Ireland grand slam, while releasing spoken word music under my pseudonym Bagots Hutton and I also created a spoken word short film that has been included in three film festivals so far. As well as gaining modest notoriety on Instagram by creating 1-minute poetry reels. My favourite hobby is photography.
